Mozilla Thunderbird
New Windows, Linux and Mac OS X builds of Mozilla Thunderbird are available. Read Scott MacGregor's post to the MozillaZine Forums for more information.
MNG/JNG Image Format Support
The MNG/JNG image decoder has been removed from the tree (bug 195280).
Imported Internet Explorer Favorites
A patch checked into the 1.4 branch means that Mozilla will no longer appear to freeze for a long period of time while importing Internet Explorer Favorites that contain references to folders (bug 201381).
Image Drag-and-Drop
Dragging a non-link image to Windows Explorer now saves the image rather than creating an Internet Shortcut pointing to the it (bug 97413).
Secure Mail Server Authentication
Because some mail servers claim to support secure authentication (e.g. CRAM-MD5) when they really don't, there is now a checkbox to enable/disable it (disabled by default) (bug 205571).
Downloading Messages for Offline Use
Downloading mail/newsgroup messages for offline use should no longer be so slow and cause less disk thrashing (bug 208043).
Mail & Newsgroups Link Loading Security Checks
A regression that caused links loaded from Mail & Newsgroups to not undergo the usual security checks has been fixed (bug 204902).
Tree Status
The trunk is currently open (but check tinderbox for the latest status). Checkins to the 1.4 branch require approval from drivers@mozilla.org.
