The name of the current frame.

Syntax

framename = frameElement.name
 

Parameters

frameName is a string.

Example

f = document.getElementById("main-frame");
 
if (f.name != "main") {

}
 

Notes

In the HTML, you can set the FRAME name attribute directly:
<frame name="f1"/> and then refer to that frame in the DOM with window.frames["f1"].
