- Darin's back from vacation.
- Triaging continues.

- Discussing continually bustage of JRE plugin with Sun folk. Letting them know that my offer to identify implmentation problems in the JRE plugin still stands.
- Listened in to the OJI meeting and discussed the future direction of java intergration in Gecko.
- Working with wtc and roy to come up with a list of API which should be UTF8 or UCS2 capable.
- I created a patch with will make embedding/base and their examples use xpcom glue. Patch sent around for reveiw.
- started blogging mozilla status again.
- triaging bugs... a neverending task.
- Finished up a category manager change which will lead to this interface being frozen shortly.
- Started attending the cpd mangement/lead meetings. Some of them have been more entertaining than informative, however none have been boring....yet.

- reviewed state of Mozilla's HTTP/1.1 compliance with Jesse Ruderman; put together a rough game-plan for enabling pipelining by default.

- Discussed the MRE with Ian who will present part of this strategy at the OSDC.
- Getting my hands dirty on bug 109739. This patch should have landed back in June but we had a bit of resistance which I didn't want to bother with. If we had landed the patch back when I was pushing for we could have avoided a rush to get some fix into the branch. Thankfully, the plugin team did find a safer fix and agreed that this bug should be our ultimate fix.

- Discussed mozilla/xpcom DSO problems with Ulrich Drepper. He may come and do a tech talk!
- Working on showing QA how to verify two security firedrill fixes.
- Had a nice converstation about sharing of profiles with the embedding team.

- Held Mail All Hands to brainstorm for things we'd like to work on for
Buffy and after. The top areas were Anti-Spam features and Address Book
improvements.
- Fixed a crash shutting down while offline.

- Fixed a bug where Japanese Local Folders displayed as garbage after
restarting the client.
- Made it so that when you forward inline an encrypted message, the message
is encrypted.

- Continued researching spam-filtering options for Mozilla.
- Investigated and wrote a patch to make Linux builds use a default
that makes debugging optimized code on Linux easier to do.
- Landed Linux gcc 3.1 plugin compatibility patch
- Landed LDAP OSF/1 build patch from shanmu@netscape.com

- Fixed crash shutting down while offline.
- Fixed memory corruption when using stand-alone msg window.
- Helped Simon Fraser with Mac IMAP hdr download performance.

- Worked on fix/patch tracking for the branch forward inline bug.
- Have a fix for switching sender should change the signing/encryption
automatically.
- Working on a focus issue where when we type too fast in address field
it is not synched
- Working on making it so that canceling a message shouldn't automatically
prompt for saving as a draft for a new message window.

- Fixed the setup recapture dialog so that it doesn't assume browser.startup.homepage
is netscape.com - make sure that Netscape.com or home page of our choice will
be made as default homepage when the user chooses at the install time overwriting

mailnews 3 pane window issues.

- Worked with Varada on a regression where forward inline couldn't be
used as the default forward.
- Worked with Ninoschka in sorting out the mailing list bugs and identifying
the most requested features and bugs for Buffy.
- Worked with Sean on Win XP SP 1 support for mail.
- Worked with Rajiv on AB work needed for Palm support.

- Fixed a bug where Japanese local folder names displayed as garbage
after restarting the client on the trunk and branch.
- Drove in a fix for a trunk regression where quick search fails if
focus on threadpane before search box. Thanks to t.bugz@lament.cjb.net
for the patch.
- Started looking into drag and drop meta bug.
- Looked into drag & drop from advanced search to 3 pane, found
out that we will need to handle multiple src folders in our code.
- Have a fix for confirm move to trash dialog doesn't appear when drag
and drop folder to trash.

HMTL code of mail has a bug

to allow the ability to have additional header options.
- Fixed an IMAP crash caused by certain text in the subject field.

encryption.
- Fixed "From - ..." line in saved and forwarded mails (Mozilla's eml
is regarded as virus by Trend Micro ScanMail)

in a local folder

- Helped Curt make it so we don't rearrange desktop icons when installing
on Windows XP.

- Has a fix for forwarding message with blank subject reveals mail
server, user name, folder name.
- Has a fix for the delete key not working in the search ui results
pane.
- Has a fix for making the the address icon clickable and opening the
Address window.

- Fixed a bug were we couldn't delete imap folders when using "mark
as deleted" delete model
- Continued to update the drag and drop meta bug with more bugs.
- Have a fix for making it so that dragging a message to the standalone
window loads it.
- Has a fix for using different flavor for drag and drop of messages
from folders. This makes the code faster and cleaner.

- Developed the nsIAbIPCCard class
- Implemented the code to send a list of address books via COM to
the calling process
- Implemented the code to Load updated data from AB since last sync
- Implemented the sync logic to deal with merging of records modified
both on Palm and Moz AB

- Worked on Palm/AB sync. Implemented a way to save and retrieve the
list of deleted cards in a table. Still need to add couple of attributes
to the card.

- Fixed undo of delete of top level message in thread leading
to messed up display
- Fixed crash selecting invalid line in thread pane of imap folders
- Found fix for extreme slowness when doing fcc to IMAP sent folder
on non UID+ servers (but not checked in due to 1.1 freeze)

- Has a partial fix for making it so that mail is deciphered before
replying to or forwarding that message.
- Fixed the remaining problems for "From - ..." line in saved and forwarded
mails (Mozilla's eml is regarded as virus by Trend Micro ScanMail)

- Worked on a regression with Kathy Brade where plain text compose
and reply were busted.
- Fixed a random crash after doing a forward inline on the trunk and

- Continued working on making it so that opening a .eml attachment
doesn't display raw html but instead shows the message that is attached.

- Worked on error sending msg when attachments have been d&d on
linux. found out native widget code is not handling the case correctly.
- Looked into why we cannot download pop3 mail or pop3 mail becomes
unusable if profile is stored on network drive after a while (in a session)
