Introduction
JSS 3.4 provides bug fixes and minor feature enhancements over JSS 3.3.
JSS 3.4 is dual-licensed under the MPL and the GPL.
New in JSS 3.4
- 9 bug fixes and enhancement requests were implemented in this release. A list can be obtained by running this bugzilla query.
Distribution Information
JSS is checked into mozilla/security/jss/.
The CVS tag for the JSS 3.4 release is JSS_3_4_RTM.
Source tarballs are available from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/security/jss/releases/JSS_3_4_RTM/src/jss-3.4-src.tar.gz.

Platform Information
JSS 3.4 works with JDK versions 1.2 or higher, except version 1.3.0. If you are using JDK 1.3.x, you will need to use at least version 1.3.1--see bug 113808. JSS only supports the native threading model (no green threads).

Known Bugs and Issues

Compatibility
JSS 3.4 is backwards compatible with JSS 3.3. Applications compiled against JSS 3.3 will work with JSS 3.4.The 3.4 version of libjss3.so/jss3.dll must only be used with jss34.jar. In general, a JSS JAR file must be used with the JSS shared library from the exact same release.
